Transit Debut album

Introducing transit ….  an exciting collaboration of Sydney and Melbourne Jazz musicians and the release of their highly anticipated debut self titled CD

Recorded in Sydney in February 2010 at James Morrisons Studios, the band features Sydney musicians Con Campbell (tenor sax), Peter Kohlhoff  (bass), John Morrison  (drums) alongside  Melbournians Greg Ambroisine (trumpet) and Andy Vance (piano).

This evocative collection of contemporary Jazz arrangements of traditional Church music and Vance originals, captures the empathy between the outstanding front liners, sensitively supported by a wonderfully cohesive rhythm section

Be engaged on a spiritual journey as you transit the styles and moods that reflect the past and anticipate the future.  From the hard driving Baker man and the funky O Worship the king to the deep intensity of Be Still and Crown Him with many Crowns, Campbell and Ambroisine lyrically transcend the many jazz colours portrayed here, from ballads and bop to the contemporary.

Sometimes Music comes along that is a special event. transit’s debut recording is just such an event…… catch it !
